Cracker Crumbed Tofu by Natural Abundance
Cracker Crumbed Tofu
This recipe is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and will make you eating vegan ‘fish and chips’ for takeout dinner night every week!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Block of tofu
Breadcrumb mixture:
- 2 servings of NB Crackers
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Coating:
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup non-diary milk
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (or white vinegar)
Recipe:
1. Cut block of tofu into slices.
2. In one bowl, combine ingredients for breadcrumb mixture. In another bowl, add the cornstarch. In the third bowl, stir together the non-dairy milk and vinegar to make buttermilk.
3. Take one tofu slice at a time, toss in cornstarch first, then dip into buttermilk, and finally coat with breadcrumb mixture.
4. Repeat with all tofu slices, and then pace them on being sheet. Bake at 200 degrees Celsius for about 20-30 minutes, flipping halfway though.
